  • Under Section 3 of Part-II UT of Ladakh is formed which comprises of Kargil and Leh districts.
  • Under Section 4 of Part-II, UT of Jammu & Kashmir is formed which comprises of districts of erstwhile state except Kargil and Leh.

  • Under Section 9(1) – four seats are allocated to the UT of Jammu and Kashmir in Rajya Sabha.
