(2) According to the Brand Guardianship Index 2024, India’s Mukesh Ambani got second place globally.

The first slot has been taken by Huateng Ma, CEO of Chinese company Tencent.


(3) Russian astronaut Oleg Kononenko sets a new world record for most time spent in space.

He has spent 878 days and 12 hours in space, surpassing his fellow Russian Gennady Padalka, who held the previous record of 878 days, 11 hours, 29 minutes and 48 seconds in 2015.

The space agency of Russia is known as Roscosmos.


(4) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the second edition of India Energy Week in Goa today.

The first edition was held in Bengaluru in February 2023.


(5) Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of Kamakhya Corridor project in Assam.

  1. This project comes under Prime Minister’s Development Initiative for the North Eastern Region (PM-DIVE) scheme.

(6) Ellora Ajanta International Festival 2024 held in Maharashtra.

  1. It was organised in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra from 2-4 February 2024.
  2. The Padmapani Lifetime Achievement Award for the festival this year was presented to famous poet, lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar for his invaluable contribution to Indian cinema.

(8) Bapu Tower dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, established in Patna.

(9) Bihar State Disaster Management Authority launched ‘NITISH Device’.

  1. NITISH = Novel Initiative Technological Intervention for Safety of Humanlives.
  2. The Nitish device will give alert to its users half an hour before celestial lightning or flooding.

(10) International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation is celebrated on 06th February.

  1. Female Genital Mutilation is a harmful practice involving the cutting or removal of the external female genitalia. It does not have any health benefits but rather causes serious risks to women’s physical and psychological health.
  2. 2024 theme: Her Voice.
  3. The day was first observed in 2003.
  4. It has been determined that by 2030 the practice of female genital mutilation should be eliminated.
