Indian National Congress

Indian National Congress was the first all-India organization that was established as a democratic nationalist movement to politicize and politically educate people.

Its idea was given by A.O. Hume with an aim that it would prove to be a ‘safety valve’ for releasing the growing discontent of the Indians.

Some of the important leaders that were associated with Indian National Congress are Dadabhai Naoroji, Pherozshah Mehta, D.E. Wacha, W.C. Banerjee, S.N. Banerjee etc.
